Wedding Response Cards

Wedding response cards are a must when you require a head count for any reason.

For instance, when the caterer charges for the exact number of persons attending and when there is a sit-down dinner with placecards, it is important that you get an accurate list of who will be attending your wedding reception.

These little cards are a convenience for your guests also.

By enclosing a separate response card with a stamped, self-addressed envelope, you will be encouraging your guests to respond promptly.

How To Track Your Response Cards

To keep track of your response cards, it is a good idea to number your guest list and then number your response card on the back to correspond with your guest list. This way, if you receive a response card back that is blank, you will know who it is from.

If you are making your own invitations and response cards, print the name of the guest(s) on the card. This will really help, if you are having assigned seating.

Wording On Response Card

Be careful about asking for the number of guests on a response card. There are some guests who will think this means they can bring more people than those listed on the invitation.

Respond dates should be at least two to three weeks before the wedding. Be sure the respond date is BEFORE the wedding date.

If you have not heard back from some guests, then DO call them and ask if they are coming.
