Wedding Expenses
Traditionally, the bride and her family have paid for the wedding expenses. However, since the average cost of a wedding is $20,000, it is not unusual for the couple, the bride's parents, and the groom's parents to agree to share the costs.

- Lodging accommodations for out-of-town bridesmaids (optional)

- Wedding consultant (if using one)
- Invitations, announcements and mailing costs
- Bride's wedding gown and accessories
- Ceremony costs: location, music, rentals...etc
- Flowers for the church and reception
- Bouquets for the bridesmaids
- Transportation for the bridal party to the church and reception
- Expenses related to the reception
- Bridemaids' luncheon
- Photographer
WHAT THE GROOM PAYS FOR - Bride's engagement and wedding rings
- Marriage license
- Wedding gift for the bride
- Gifts for the best man and ushers
- Bride's bouquet
- Boutonnieres for attendants and fathers
- The Clergy's fee
- Honeymoon expenses
WHAT THE GROOM'S FAMILY PAYS FOR - Rehearsal dinner party
- Travel and accommodations for groom's family
- Any general expenses they may wish to help pay
WHAT THE ATTENDANT'S PAY FOR - Dress and accessories
- Gift to wedding couple
- Showers given by maid of honor or bridesmaids
- Bachelor party given by best man or ushers
- Bachelorette party given by maid of honor and bridesmaids
