Do It Yourself
Wedding Pew Wreaths

Pew wreaths are a great wedding decorating idea. These wreaths are easy and economical to make and will make your wedding unique and special.

Wedding wreaths can be used in so many different ways!

Not only can they be used to mark church pews, but you can put them on the entry doors of the church or hang them in the windows of the church.

The wreaths can also be used at the wedding reception for decoration on the cake table, gift table and on the back of chairs.

After the wedding, you can give one of the pew wreaths to each bridesmaid as a wedding favor.wedding pew wreaths And of course, you will want to keep one or two of the wreaths for your new home to remember your special day.

WEDDING PEW WREATH INSTRUCTIONS

The following instruction are for silk flowers but if you have the time you can use fresh flowers.

SUPPLIES

  • 10 or 14 inch Circle Grapevine Wreath (Use the 10 inch wreath for the pews, tables or chairs. Use the 14 inch wreath for entry doors.)
  • 2 to 3 Silk Flower Bushes (You will need enough flowers to cover the entire wreath.)
  • Heavy floral Stem Wire or Ribbon for hanging the wreaths.
  • Wire cutters
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

If you are going to use the wreaths on church pews, you will need to purchase pew hooks.

You do not have to put a wreath on every pew. You can skip every one or two pews or only put a wreath on the pews that you want reserved.

INSTRUCTIONS

Turn the wreath over and attach the floral wire to the back of the wreath by making a U-shape and wrapping the ends around a vine. Make sure the wire is attached at the height you will need to hang the wreath and that it will hold.

If you prefer, you can use ribbon. Tie the ribbon to the back of the wreath in a loop. This will be used to hang the wreath. If you know where you are going to use your flower wreaths, you may want to measure to make sure the wreaths will hang at the height you want.

Picture of a pew wreath using purple feathers. Cut the flowers off of the stem by using wire cutters. Using the hot glue gun, put a small dab of glue on the flower end and attach the flowers individually to the wreath. Completely cover the wreath with the flowers. You can use contrasting flowers, ivy, ribbons...etc. This is a project that you can let your imagination and artistic talents soar.

That is it! You now have a wreath that will add style and elegance to your wedding.

Roses, hydrangeas, daisies, and carnations all work very well with this do it yourself wedding project. However, you can try any flower that goes with your wedding theme.

You can also use heart-shaped wreaths, instead of the circle wreaths to add romance to your wedding decorations.

Endless Ideas

  • For elegance use red roses. The red roses can also be used for a Christmas or Valentine them wedding.
  • If you are having a black and white theme wedding, use white roses and accent the wreath with black ribbon.
  • Picture of pew wreath using sunflowers.
  • By using daisies or sunflowers, the wedding pew wreaths can add a casual look to a spring or summer wedding.
  • For an outside wedding, you could tie two ribbons on the back of the wreath and then tie the flower wreaths onto the back of the guest's chairs or onto tree branches.
  • Use feathers instead of flowers for a unique look.

The ideas are endless! This inexpensive wedding idea can be used in numerous ways to help you stay within your wedding budget.

Good luck and may you have the wedding of your dreams!
