Mexican Wedding Food Ideas

If you are looking for traditional Mexican wedding food ideas, jamon serrano or a creamy polenta are great dishes to start the wedding banquet with.

However, if you are thinking more on the line of American-Mexican wedding food, then enchiladas, tacos and rice are great wedding food ideas.

TRADITIONAL MEXICAN WEDDING FOODS

To start:

  • Jamon serrano on Italian chapata (thin cut ham)
  • Polenta
  • Salmon with cranberries

  • Sopa de Milpa (also known as corn soup)

A Mexican themed wedding is a fun, easy and economical idea for your wedding menu. Most of the food can be made ahead and frozen or you can purchase tamales, rice and beans from a local Mexican food restaurant.
